Schumann Legacy Foundation

Circumstances have led the Schumann’s to start-over the family business more than once. During one of these interludes Barbara moved forward assertively on obtaining her Masters Degree in another life subject… starting over. This inspired her to integrate the start of a charitable foundation with the launch of Touché’ Beauty. The Foundation’s first effort, aptly named The Chrysalis Project focuses on leveraging the potential of children streaming out of the foster-care system by helping them finish school, access scholarship programs as well as by preparing them with viable skill-sets that will inspire them to make decisions thoughtfully, never out of desperation. “The way today’s foster care system works, kids get released into the world at 18…most without high school diplomas because they’ve been kicked around all their lives. I learned a lot about starting over in my life…but every time we have to, we learn something and start overbetter than before. I foresee a program for women who are starting over. Solid beginnings are good for everyone.”
